Firm and tough timber for house building
Timber is one of the oldest building materials that are also intensively used today. I comparison to others it is more cosy, homelike, warm, it is possible to build easier and faster by using timber. Old Lithuanians especially appreciated this material because they expressed their conception of universe through World tree, connecting three spheres: dungeon, earth and sky. So it is not surprising that even nowadays use of timber in construction sector is not reduced but increased. Timber, though it has taken a new shape and is processed according to more innovative technology, coloured, always keeps its warmness and cosiness.
Ensured quality of products
Company “Pamario medis”, working on Lithuanian market for ten years, is characterized as a processor and supplier of the highest quality timber. Quickly developing company is oriented not only to Lithuanian market but also to foreign markets, thus offered products satisfy requirements raised to stock and blanks of Europe, USA and Canada timber. 22 workers work on production base equipped in Pavydu village, Kelmes district. Almost all processed timber is imported from the northern part of Russia, as trees, growing there, are characterized by higher density, sound, strong branches and so on. Deals constitute about 85 percents of all imported products, and pine planks – 15 percents. Modern works, built one and a half year ago, enabled the company to compete at the market. Today depending on the season “Pamario medis” can desiccate up to 4000 m3 of timber per month.
Stock to build framework houses and more
Production offered by the company is most often applied to construction of framework houses, as construction element - for ceilings, partitions and so on. Customers are offered desiccated, dressed and calibrated planks of various dimensions. JSC “Pamario medis” holds long-time partnership one of priorities of its trading strategy, so by supplying production to different construction companies it is trying to orient at reliable partners, which are looking for certificated, tough timber for construction. Fast development of the company is also proved by the fact that this year it is planned to reach a turnover up to 25 millions lits, i.e. increase it for about 20 percents.
Production is also marketable in other countries
This year the company is planning to develop trade in Poland, Norway, and Lithuania. Some timber were started to provide to Lithuanian construction companies, which build houses to customers from Scandinavia, especially Norway. As company commercial manager Vidmantas Zymantas highlights, some houses, which were built by using timber of this company, are standing in England, Ireland, and Norway. These are summerhouses, winter sports complexes, and ordinary dwelling-houses, perfectly blending with a landscape.
A decision to pay more attention to production spread in Lithuania was also conditioned by changes at world trade market of timber. Elimination of windfall consequences in Germany and Sweden was conditioned by the circumstance that larger than usually amounts of timber were offered to the market. Besides, after large areas of Canada woods were assailed by sap-rots the government decided to cut down some of them, so redundant amount of timber emerged at the world timber market, which also conditioned the price.
New sphere of activity – production of facing planks
Essential new development of “Pamario medis” - in June it is planned to start producing cleats of various profiles, intended for interior and exterior decoration, terraces of various elevation, and other profiled production. This innovation will enable the company to offer complex package of timber products to a customer, when facing planks are also offered together with timber intended for house framework. New modern dressing equipment purchased by the company allows offering facing planks of 150 different profiles. As a result of automated enginery production will become noticeably simpler and faster: on purpose to produce a facing plank it will be enough to take a desiccated board and just choose the appropriate program.
